If you’re aiming to be a little more thrifty this month, check out Patrick Ryan of the Firehouse Bakery on RTE’S Today Show, from 4.30pm this evening.

Patrick will be showing you how to cook a tasty three-course meal from stale bread. For starters, he’s rustling up some bruschetta and crostini, with a side of hummus; for mains, it’s Panzanella salad, and for desert, it’s the delicious Pain Perdu, which is essentially bread cooked in caramel.
