County Clare-based catering company CCSL is delighted to announce a new five-year partnership to provide food and beverage services to Clare Tourism, in Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, one of Ireland’s most iconic cultural attractions. This contract will also see CCSL providing food to the Knappogue Castle banquets and the new Inis Cealtra / Holy Island Café in Mountshannon, due to open this summer.
Central to the new contract is the opening of ‘The Corn Barn’, a newly developed 150-seater restaurant designed to reflect the rich heritage and atmosphere of Bunratty. The Corn Barn will serve a range of traditional Irish dishes and wholesome light bites.
As part of the contract, CCSL will also take over operations at The Tea Rooms, located within the Folk Park. The Tea Rooms will offer guests a relaxed setting with a menu focused on fresh bakes and traditional sandwiches. There are also some fun interactive food experiences in the park for visitors to enjoy, such as the Ban an Ti (woman of the house) making apple tarts.
CCSL have also been appointed to oversee the operation and offering at The Earl’s Pantry. Located just outside the park, near the entrance, The Earl’s Pantry is a family-friendly venue serving a Mediterranean-inspired menu in a welcoming, café-style setting, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
“This five-year contract with Clare County Council represents a shared commitment to enhancing the visitor experience through quality, locally inspired food and hospitality,” said Tom Hackett, Managing Director of CCSL. “We’re particularly proud to work closely with a range of local suppliers and artisan producers as we celebrate County Clare’s culinary heritage and bring that story to life through our menus. CCSL spends over €700,000 per annum with Clare-based suppliers, which indirectly supports employment across the region”
The Clare Tourism contract builds on recent success and continued growth for CCSL. As well as working with a number of well-known industry names across Ireland, the company has been a long-term catering partner to the ESB, Dublin Bus and Irish Rail. More recently, CCSL has been appointed as the catering provider for AirNav Ireland in Shannon, which provides air traffic management services in the 451,000 km2 of airspace controlled by Ireland. This project involves delivering a tailored, on-site catering solution that supports both the organisation’s daily operations and any special event requirements.
“Through a commitment to providing best-in-class onsite catering services, our business continues to grow steadily and organically,” added Tom. “We pride ourselves on offering a highly personalised service to each client, where they can expect a very high level of support”.
