Gather & Gather Ireland Mark 5 Years Supporting Food On The Edge

Gather & Gather Ireland Mark 5 Years Supporting Food On The Edge

Gather & Gather Ireland has partnered with Food On the Edge again this year marking their fifth year of support for Food On The Edge as principal partner.  In the spirit of Food On The Edge – forward-thinking, taking responsibility and pushing boundaries – Gather & Gather Ireland has transformed the experience and perception of workplace catering for both its clients and chefs with a simple yet pioneering philosophy towards its food, chefs and kitchen culture.

Central to the Gather & Gather Ireland ethos is reimagining and reinventing workplace dining. Teams are encouraged to work with locally sourced ingredients as well as educating their customers on food, nutrition and flavours.

Mark Anderson, Culinary Director of Gather & Gather said, “Food On The Edge is such an important event every year for Gather & Gather. Given our role in food culture, food policy, food sustainability, food education and food heritage within the workspaces in which we operate, supporting and attending Food On The Edge helps us to drive change and inspire in our food strategy. It offers two days of conversation with, and listening to, thought leaders who are pushing the future of food globally and influencing us in how we play our part.”

Led by Mark, the Gather & Gather team will also again deliver a memorable lunch experience for speakers and delegates across both days of Food On The Edge. Produce will be sourced from the on-site farm and gardens at Airfield Estate. The menus showcase their Gather & Gather approach to food creating healthy, well-thought-out, balanced, restaurant-quality dishes with a focus on sustainable ingredients that celebrate local and seasonal produce.  Innovation, dynamism and excellence are central to the Gather & Gather mission. Mark said, “Our menu is designed to showcase the fantastic produce available to us here in Ireland, using great ingredients cooked in a casual way. It’s exactly what we do in all our Gather & Gather kitchens every day.”

JP McMahon, Food On The Edge Founder and Symposium Director said, “Without Gather & Gather, Food On The Edge would simply not have been possible this year, or in previous years. Gather & Gather not only offer much-needed monetary support but invaluable insight into creating a memorable event in terms of the logistics and, of course, the food they feed our delegates and speakers. We are indebted to their foresight and sense of progression. They are truly a wonderfully progressive company to work with, in terms of their workplace culture and how they produce food ethically. They are inspiring to everyone in the food industry as being  true ambassadors of modern Irish food, with sights set on how we can make our industry better.”
