Get Ready: Six by Nico Brings a Taste of New Orleans to Dublin and Belfast

Six by Nico is dialling up the soul with a bold new menu inspired by New Orleans. This immersive tasting experience invites guests to experience the feelings of jazz and Jambalaya in a six-course celebration of the Deep South.

The Six By Nico team travelled out to New Orleans for a beautifully chaotic trip, diving into Louisiana’s iconic dishes, from gumbo to beignets and bananas foster. More essential to the inspiration of the menu was the people of New Orleans.

Founder and CEO of Six by Nico, Nico Simeone says, “There was always a seat at the table for us. We queued for muffuletta at Central Grocery, wiped sugar from our faces after too many beignets, and cooked with the incredible Gason Nelson, who reminded us that a great meal is never just about the ingredients.”

The city’s signature Creole food, influenced by the Native American, West African, Haitian, French, Spanish, German, and Italian immigrants who found their way to Louisiana before it was even part of the US, is one of America’s first fusion cuisines. The menu is set to welcome anyone and everyone to Six by Nico, bringing that sense of Southern Hospitality to Dublin and Belfast. 

Inspired by a flavourful journey through New Orleans, the menu showcases iconic dishes reimagined with a contemporary twist, starting strong with the first course, Barbeque Shrimp and Grits, a sweet and sour barbeque shrimp, with creamed corn grits, and brown butter foam. No Southern-inspired menu would be complete without the Louisiana Fried Chickensmoked chicken, LFC buttermilk thigh, grilled corn, black garlic, and collard greens. The experience ends on a sweet high with Bananas Foster, a baked banana delice, rum dulce de leche, cocoa nib, crème fraîche sorbet, and vanilla beignet.

Additional add-ons include the Crispy Prawn Po’ Boy and the New Orleans Hot Beignet Box—a sweet treat to take the Big Easy home with you.

Running from 2nd June to 13th July, this menu captures the soulful essence of the Crescent City, blending rich culinary traditions with vibrant storytelling. Six By Nico menus are six-course tasting menus, with vegetarian, vegan and other dietary alternatives also available.
