Olivia Collins of Food PR awarded Network Galway SME Business Woman of the Year 2019

Women in business throughout Galway gathered together for an evening of celebration of female success at the 2019 Network Galway Awards held at The Hotel Meyrick, Saturday May 18th. Olivia Collins, Agency Director and Owner of Food PR & Communications and Food Social, took the title of Business Woman of the Year 2019 in the Small SME Owner Category.

Celebrating over 15 years of entrepreneurial success, Olivia established one of the first PR agencies in Galway City, Those Two Girls and has since adapted to the changing trends in the PR realm in Ireland and followed her passion in creating the only agency in Ireland exclusively focused on the food industry, Food PR & Communications

The agency has since broadened its horizons and works with clients throughout the country, boasting an extensive list of award winning chefs, restaurants and food brands across Ireland. JP McMahon and Dylan McGrath are counted as clients of Food PR plus restaurants such as Greenes in Cork, award-winning cocktail bar Cask, Glovers Alley in Dublin, food producers such as Achill Sea Salt and Achill Mountain Lamb, destination food venues such as Viewmount House and multi-national food and beverage chain Esquires Coffee, plus high end food service company Gather & Gather and Ireland’s international food symposium, Food on The Edge plus many others. The recently established sister agency, Food Social has been created to solely focus on food businesses social media campaigns and build their online presence. 

Network Ireland, a dedicated organisation for the progression and empowerment of women in business throughout Ireland, has 15 branches nationwide, including Network Galway. Held annually, the Network Galway Business Women of the Year Awards celebrates the female business presence that thrives throughout Galway City. Split into 8 categories: Emerging Business, Small SME < 10 Employees, Rising Star, Shining Star, Arts, Established Business STEM, Social Enterprise and Large SME >10 Employees, the nominees gathered together to enjoy an evening filled with knowledge and talks from other female entrepreneurs across Galway and celebrated the wins throughout the categories.

Olivia and all other regional winners will progress to the next round, representing their branch at the Network Ireland National Conference and Businesswoman of the Year Awards, to be held at the Celtic Ross Hotel Rosscarbery West Cork on the in September 2019. The theme of this year’s annual conference is “Step Up” and will feature a range of national and international business people, motivational speakers and influencers. The evening promises to showcase and celebrate the triumph, resilience and success of business women across Ireland within the eight                                                                                                                                  d categories. The evening will begin with a drinks reception, a four-course meal, awards presentation and wine and entertainment.
