The Wright Group is delighted to announce the opening of its exciting new gastro bar experience in Swords. The Brooklyn brings indulgent brunches, all-day dining, handcrafted cocktails, and vinyl vibes.
The Brooklyn gastro bar is the latest project by The Wright Group, with a €2.5 million investment that has completely transformed the space. Michael Wright and his sons, Brook and Mikey, have combined their experience to push boundaries, defy expectations and break norms, which is signature to the group’s style.
The overall design by the team combines industrial rustic materials with soft contrasting patterns and textures for a laid-back elegance inspired by bold industrial energy and a playful luxury that will transport customers to a world beyond. Materials such as reclaimed timber, antique brass and salvaged brick are offset against rich velvet fabrics, glamorous touches and planting.
Ann-Marie O’Neil, Creative Director, O’Donnell + O’Neil Design, says, “The Brooklyn is the next chapter, a mix of masculine and feminine, like an old urban warehouse in Brooklyn that is filled with moments of luxury, like little jewels.”
The all-day menu focuses on flavour and skill that allow the ingredients to speak for themselves. The premium casual dining style brings artisanal, local and quality ingredients together for bold, playful signature dishes inspired by the best flavours in the world.
Group Head Chef Oliver Byrne has designed a menu that allows the team to play with culinary techniques, “We’re brining, braising, confiting, grilling, baking… all with the focus on flavour. The Brooklyn menu is about taste, technique and ingredients, it’s as simple as that.” Daily specials will feature alongside the menu and showcase the best of seasonal produce.
Enjoy dishes such as Wild Mushroom and Scamorza Arancini with Romesco sauce, herb oil, Gold River Farm leaves and shaved pecorino, or Brisket Melt Sandwiches with beer onions and smoked applewood cheese, or vibrant Korean Chicken Burger with free-range chicken and kimchi slaw. For dinner at The Brooklyn, guests can enjoy succulent grilled steaks, such as the 10oz Sirloin or 8oz Fillet steaks from John Stone, served with hand-cut fries and rich pepper sauce, or the show-stopping Lamb Osso Bucco. Pasta lovers can enjoy comforting Italian-inspired favourites like Prawn Linguini with fresh pasta, confit of garlic and tomato concasse. Brunch will also be available in late spring.
The Brooklyn boasts a vibrant drinks menu that centres around expertly crafted cocktails, a curated wine list, and a premium beer selection. Signature cocktails include a refreshing Raspberry Collins with gin, lemon, and raspberry, or classics like an Old Fashioned. Vinyl vibes will uplift the venue, with guest artists bringing a unique sound to The Brooklyn.
