The Irish Craft Cocktail Awards aim to celebrate the skill, training, uniqueness and artistry of craft cocktail concoction in Ireland. Winners are determined by public and industry votes, and sponsorship spread across a wide variety of companies.

Reacting to the Irish Craft Cocktail Awards’ triumph, bar manager of Cask, Andy Ferreira said, “I’m thrilled for everyone involved in Cask, and particularly for Carl who is one of the most talented, humble and creative bartenders on the scene. Winning Best Overall Cocktail Bar for a second year running is an amazing feeling. When you do four drinks’ menus a year and really immerse yourself in seasonality and working with locally-foraged ingredients, it’s an incredibly rewarding way to develop drinks and menus. We’re incredibly passionate about what we do and winning these awards is reward for a lot of hard work from all of the team.

Arthur Little, general manager of Cask, Greenes Restaurant and Hotel Isaacs, said, “We are absolutely delighted with the result, which reflects the professionalism of our team as well as the ongoing quality of what we are producing at Cask. We are so proud of our bar team who are always innovating and pushing the boundaries, and truly are ambassadors for the craft of bartending.”

Cask has been wowing the public and hospitality industry alike since opening in February 2017 for its cutting-edge cocktails designed around locally-produced and foraged, seasonal ingredients, and this is only the latest in a line of awards’ victories for Cask. Carl D’Alton was announced as the World Class Irish Bartender of the Year 2018, taking the coveted title from his colleague and mentor, Andy Ferreira, who was the 2017 winner. Cask took home the top honours of Overall Bar of the Year in the Bar of the Year Awards 2018 and Best Overall Cocktail Experience at the National Hospitality Awards 2018.
