As Food PR grows and the online space gets more and more important to our clients, good content is crucial. Each day, we produce content for clients by means of press releases, blog posts, videos and photography. This content is produced to get attention – the attention of the media (resulting in wonderful press coverage for clients), and the attention of a client’s customer base (resulting in engaging social media material).
As we have welcomed new clients on board, our content has become richer; we’re attracting more followers and we’re gaining more traction for clients. Long may it last! However, as news worthy as it is that a new restaurant has opened, a new chef joins a team, or a new innovative promotion is taking place, there’s plenty more behind the scenes stories that may not make it to press – but it’s just as interesting. We want to share all those stories with clients’ followers, fans and customers. We needed a content manager…. enter Jo Lavelle stage right.
Jo is an experienced editor and journalist with over 12 years of producing excellent features, articles and content for high profile publications and broadcast. In addition to running a group of successful lifestyle magazines, under the umbrella of Goldenegg Productions (GalwayNow, CorkNow, LimerickNow and WeddingsNow Magazines) Jo also developed new magazines for commercial clients (Blanchardstown and Athlone Town Centre). She was a key player in the setting up and editing of online magazine, Goldenegg.ie. During her time at the magazine group, she was deputy editor, style editor, beauty editor, feature writer and proof reader before moving on to be editor of the group. Prior to her life in the magazine world, she was a news writer and reporter for both newspapers and radio, in addition to court reporting and feature writing for the press. Jo will be hands on with all Food PR clients working on both online and offline PR campaigns, generating interesting magazine worthy content.
