‘CHI Asian Bistro’ is located on Middle Street in Galway with a dedicated ‘CHI Asian Takeaway’ outlet situated in Westside. The two venues are owned and operated by Catherine O’Brien.
Catherine is both passionate and enthusiastic about Eastern philosophy and how this is translated into the food that is prepared by Chi. ‘The Eastern ethos in producing food is not only the ingredients that go into each dish but also how the dish is prepared and served. We are careful to ensure each dish is true to its origins and cooked with care and attention. We believe this is reflected in the flavour and taste of each dish’.
Chi Asian Bistro is renowned for it’s adaptability to dietary requirements for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs. It also bucks the concept that takeaway or Asian food is unhealthy by offering fresh vegetables in all dishes and beautiful sides which include Asian steamed greens (a mix of bak choy, spinach and other seasonal greens) and Rainbow Salad with Cherry Tomatoes and Japanese Seaweed.
Open for lunch the warming Tom Yum Soup (only 198Kcal for weight watchers!) which combines the health properties of chilli, ginger, lemongrass is a favourite along with tummy-fillers such as Pad Thai and the red and green curries.
